The Last Of Us

The Last of Us is a documentary about the personal and professional lives of Sergio Martino and Ruggero Deodato, two of the most representative directors of Italian cult movies, appreciated by directors such as  Quentin Tarantino, Eli Roth, Tim Burton and many more.

The documentary is shot in a traditional Roman restaurant where the two Italian directors meet for a “spaghetti Carbonara” lunch and a chat about cinema. Pasta is a key element of the Italian culture and, just like spaghetti western movies, it will characterize our story.

Our story starts with the two directors who get a phone call from Davide Pulici (editor in chief of the magazine Nocturno) who invites them for a lunch together and a chat on cinema, in a beautiful restaurant in Rome.

The two directors will be filmed in their daily routine until Pulici phones and invites them for lunch. Few images shot inside the house and a short dialogue on what to wear will follow. Then, the two directors will be taken to the restaurant.

In the car, the mood and atmosphere related to the subject of the documentary starts to be created through some funny anecdotes about past exeperiences that the two directors will be telling about.
