Variety Distribution

Based on a famous play by Dario Niccodemi, the film is about the story of a young schoolmistress whose aloofness rouses a lot of gossip in the village where she has arrived; the village mayor accosts her and, after finding out the bitter experience that is the cause of her shy behaviour, punishes those who are to blame and then marries her.
