In a castle, a bored upper middle-class couple receive their friends. In actual fact, the husband is the lover of one of the women, and one of the men has been paid to pretend to be in love with the wife. In the end, the wife finds out everything. After the holiday, they go back to their usual lives that are more and more empty.
