The heroine is seduced by a scoundrel, becomes a music-hall singer, marries a handsome Navy officer, becomes a widow as a result of the war, is blackmailed by the scoundrel, accused of attempted murder, convicted, deprived of her daughter, repudiated by her husband’s rich relatives, becomes reinstated, anguished by the illness that has paralysed her daughter, who is miraculously cured by Our Lady of Lourdes, and finally becomes reunited with her husband, who returns from the war, and her daughter, who has been cured.
