Taken from a story by Jules Verne. Mathias Sandorf is the leader of the Hungarian patriots who are fighting to free their country from Austrian rule. This does not stop Sandorf’ daughter from falling in love with the Imperial Governor, who is at least a gentlemanly adversary. Unlike some Austria-sympathising magnates, who try to sell Sandorf to the police. However, Sandorf manages to escape the attempts on his life and takes his bitter revenge on them all.
