Courtney, a young New York reporter is in New Orleans with his wife Connie to write a story on a religious sect that performs woodoo rituals. Nora, a writer whose husband was killed during one of these rites helps him in his enquiry and becomes his lover. Connie falls in love with a local young man who reduces her to a slave of her senses and involves her in the rites of the sect. But Courtney finds his wife just in time to save her from a cruel death during one of the sect’s satanic rites.
